We all are formed by fragments. We choose which combination to show in any given moment. We are different people to our friends, our partners, our children and people at work. Each segment can be beautiful, colorful and compelling, but still does not depict our whole self. Only a special few are afforded the gift of seeing all the pieces together. Representing the rare beauty of seeing the holistic self, Pieced Together is built on seven different layers of LEGO plates, each with its own shape and story. As with my other pieces using a “deep greebling” style, there are fun surprises hidden throughout, including a bicycle, tiger, and ironically, a piece separator.
