Nevada State Tartan

I was inspired to create a tartan mosaic after seeing several examples from other builders. When I discovered Nevada had a state tartan, I knew that was the tartan design that I would build since I have lived in Nevada for my entire life. The Nevada State Tartan was made official in 2001 and the colors represent various aspects of Nevada's land and history. I hand-sketched the pattern using pictures of the tartan design before building it digitally and fine-tuning the design. I chose not to create texture for this mosaic so the focus is on the pattern.
