Another in a series of stained glass, 'effulgence' means 'radiant splendor; brilliance'. Built to showcase the beauty of translucent LEGO, this also encourages my loved ones in the LGBTQIA+ community to let their inner light shine. This piece incorporates layered translucent and transparent pieces (sometimes tiles stacked on top of plates) to give even more variety to the hues and tones. While viewing angle and the brightness level of the LED change things considerably, it’s also interesting to see how the layers of LEGO interact with one another. The surround uses quarter-round tiles, a relatively new piece in the LEGO catalogue, to create unique and delicate patterns in the frame.
